An Early Morning Feast
A shining bright star
shines down from afar
In this morning’s sky
just before dawn
As it gleams in the East
like an early morning feast
Such a way to start a day
as it takes my breath away
I saw it from my balcony
a sparkling, twinkling sight to see
Then went inside to google it
this light that shone upon me
Venus is the star
in the sky that I saw
Engulfing me with wonderment
and filling me with awe
With the full moon coming soon
and the exquisite sun arising
My spirit is on such a high
I feel I’m floating in the sky
18th November 2018 – after witnessing the beauty of Venus today…
