An Eagle's Nest
High on a mountain in an Eagle's nest
three babes there were born
two were given flight and the same chance at life
but the third's wings were torn
So the mother flew in anger and said
what babe is this I see
here in my nest, one different from the rest
why was this babe born to me
then an answer came from the heavens
three babes were what you prayed for
though two are at best and the third one seems less
each babe was given no more
yet the mother still flew in anger
and questioned how could this be
for a bird without flight, is as a seer without sight
so what life as an Eagle has he
lower thy nest from the mountain
an answer from the heavens came down
for at Eagle at best, is no more is no less
of an Eagle flying high or on the ground
