An Autumn Prayer
Dear Lord. It's been a long hot Summer; bring on Fall. May the earth receive a 'thermal reprive'; bring on Fall. The planet has been reeling from the heat;
please, bring on Fall. Fires have reeked havoc and scorched the forests; bring on Fall. Many properties are burning and lives are being taken, bring on Fall
As nature's fury rages, may we cease not to look to you; bring on Fall
The smoke is blowing from west to east, from sea to sea; bring on Fall
Clear the air, let rain clouds appear, wild animals smile and stare; bring
on Fall. Day after day, rays of the sun, and I cannot remember when I last
saw rain; bring on Fall. The Fall may bring more fires and hurricanes, but at
least it's cool and the trees are beautiful. Raking colorful leaves that fall from
the trees would be a welcomed change; so bring on Fall. O Sovereign Lord. Grant us a break today; bring on Fall we pray; and for now, that is all.
