An Appeal Sent Through Time

An Appeal Sent Through Time

By Elton Camp

*****sapiens sees it was a mistake
So corrective action he tries to take

Into the past, his voice does send
To the ancestors of modern men

Go back, go back and save the earth
Trouble, human’s rise has given birth

For this “survival of the most fit”
Brought problem more than a bit

Please remain content to live in a cave
Then the earth’s future you can save

With grunts and growls communicate
To spare the future a most horrible fate

Hunters and gathers continue to be
Thus from anxiety you’ll remain free

For with a mere pint-sized brain
It is best that all should remain

Never discover fire or the wheel
For the future that’s the best deal

(Just a bit of fantasy)
