An Angel's Trumpet Blooms

I watch a dark black cloud
Hovering near the horizon
Blocking the sun it turns day into night
It hides an ancient vengeful angry god
Lost to time his name remains unspoken
Fingers of flame shoot to the ground
Destroying everything they touch
A punishment for some unknown sin
Burning embers in a torrential rain
Their red glow fades
Turning to black they die
Pale grey smoke flows in powerful winds
Taking away any light that remains
A world in a complete darkness
The only things left after a god’s touch
Death and destruction
Smoke and ash
In all the lack of life
The lack of light
One flower
An Angel’s Trumpet blooms
And hope begins to grow

A very interesting write here Robert, like the end of the world and what will will be left after all of our sins. Thought provoking and excellent scary imagery.
