An American Songbird
Lovely Cardinal,
Sitting on mail box in snow.
Brilliant red feathers aglow.
Sings winters solstice
In time for Merry Christmas.
Sun is far from equator.
Giving solitude
For the first day of winter,
December the twenty first!
