An American Songbird

Lovely Cardinal, Sitting on mail box in snow. Brilliant red feathers aglow. Sings winters solstice In time for Merry Christmas. Sun is far from equator. Giving solitude For the first day of winter, December the twenty first!

Great imagery! I love this write it is so calming. We used to have a Cardinal that loved to sit in the branches of the tiny evergreen in the yard beside my home. It was a beautiful and peaceful sight. Sometimes I would watch for hours just waiting to see that beautiful bird. Thanks for sharing! Smiles from Lolita

Interesting contrast of the red male cardinal to the white of the snow. Keep the creative pen flowing. Sara
