An Akron -Canton baseball game

Ball caps on,
tickets bought
ready for the big game.

A pack of wrigley's spearmint gum
in my back pocket.

Finding the right seats,
a panoramic view of the field.

Waiting for the players to enter the field,
star spangled banner sang,
 all hands on hearts.

The game begins with
people cheering and chanting
H......E.....Y.....
batter batter swing!!

another hit,
another run,
go team go i yell.

As i hold an overpriced beer in cheer
waving down the vendor
for a famous stadium dog with mustard.

A day at the park enjoying Ohio weather
This is how baseball should be

Congrats on 6th place out of 25 entries! Loved how you painted this picture of Americana in the mid-west. You had me as well at "overpriced beer." So true...
