An Aging Marvel

     Of technology’s many gifts
        many receive remarkably short shrift

Yet without one of its aging marvels
        the entire civilized world unravels

So, I’d like all those short shrifters
just one sweltering summer to envision
            their homes ~ un-air-conditioned

I'm laughing. Life without A/C What? impossible. And to think I grew up in Texas without A/C...windows opened wide eight months out of the year....

Even in Chicago, I can't believe I didn't have it 'til age 47.

Hi Gershon, Sunday morning greetings. Some people take electric power for granted....until they lose it. After Hurricane Helene, me and my family sure do appreciate the generator we got. Good one, Gershon. Shalom to you and yours.

I, for one, don't take a/c for granted. It keeps me going, I admit...
