An After Dream Poem

18 Sept 2015 2:27 AM

I shook hands with the rabbit at his door.
He said, Tell me brother what you've come here for?

And with a smile I replied,
To lay my imagination at your side.

To free my mind from its shelf,
and to explore the most inner reaches of myself.

Then lay it here he said to me,
and let's find out what you can be!

A frog, a cricket or a bird in a bush!
Then I said to him now you just hush!

I know exactly what I am,
made by God I am a man.

It's who I am that I seek to find,
deep within the depths of my mind.

I had a dream that was not the poem at all but when I woke up this poem was coming to me so I scrambled around and found a paper to write it on before I lost it. I hope you all enjoy it.
