An Act of Love
I won't ever forget the first time I saw her smile
Or her sparkling eyes as she gazed at me from a distance
It was really a magic moment while I stood there infront of her
The scent of fresh rain coated the unforgetable scene
My heart began to race; she truly is beautiful
Oh I recall when I saw my future in her eyes; it was but a dream
And when I saw her in the scenes of my dreams they were but deep thoughts
Yet the pain I hold inside won't allow me to breathe
I won't ever deny that I was happy by her side
Yet I must let her go, for that is true love
To give what you hold dearest for their own good
I have realized why she no longer stands in my life
Never I have I felt this peace in times of pain
For I have lost it all, all but my life
Strong are my limbs, and with fortitude I shall rise again
I trust in You my God in your love and grace
I will seek and serve you first my God
I know that You will provide that significant other in my life
A soulmate, a partner in whose acts You shall be glorified
Until all, I worship You my father
