Amygdala

Tense eyes focus straight

Lights flash by, movement make.

Dazzle, horn, sounds cracks concentration

Adrenalin surge, dark anticipation

Expectation turns the anxiety key

Why the hell is he doing this to me?

Drive faster, risk take, fool make!

Anger overtakes, rational thought dissipates

Tense hold on steering wheel

Expletives fly, braced to kill

Car overtakes with reckless intent

Screaming men, enemies make

Cuts in front, hit the brake

Come to a halt, anger takes

Out of car shouting, shoving, pushing

See red.

Just a second it takes

Amygdala in brain overtakes

Murderer, rRoAaGdE makes.
