Amongst the Trees
the deep water
of the lake
surrounds
our small boat
we float as it
were
watching the
changes in the
foliage which
stands nearby
Spring - new life
Summer - full bloom
Fall - the change of colors
Winter - white death
the deep waters
of the lake
keep us afloat
as the years
pass - we continue
to view
the trees
our boat
a landmark
on the changing
face of the
natural landscape
