Among the Beautiful
Among the beautiful is where I stand,
among the trees, among the land.
This is the place where I come to think,
no one can bother me as I take a breath
of cool, crisp air.
This is the place where I can
dip my feet in the water without care.
I am free to go anywhere.
I walk around barefoot
with only the clothes on my back
because I live here among the beautiful.
This is my home.
My ten-year-old daughter - Jessica - wrote this poem; I am submitting it on her behalf.
