Amnesia

Amnesia

The never ending sufferings in life
Have made me habitually insensitive
To glee for petty joys offered by life
For I have forgotten the delights of life.

Life so far has been an unending struggle
Rarely sprinkled with tiny happy moments
Hence adapted to the routine distresses
That agitate me ever without a break.

When I see around and observe people
Dealing with situations in life by turns
Displaying emotions joyous and gloomy
I feel sad and depressed at my plight.

The oft quoted saying that plight
And delight often visit mortals by turns
Stands exposed hollow in my case
For the wheel has stopped taking rounds.

However, I carry on with no qualms
And seek comfort in the good dictum
That everything is predetermined
So life is to be lived as preordained.
