Amid Falling Leaves

I stood underneath the falling leaves and wondered
would the tree be sad?

I looked up and saw,
Tree was dancing in joy!

Humans cry over falling leaves,
They are selfish,
They think how I will live without them,
They are not bothered about leaves age and sufferings.

If humans were selfless they would be happy when loved ones died,
Death marks the end of sufferings for many.

Rama, this popular ' Amid' option really stands out from the other entries. Tree dancing in joy- I had the clrar image, and was filled with delight in that connection you made. Yes, tough topic, death, though it's in our midst always. It is surprising that some try to deny its aporoach, torture of prolongment does no life justice. A touching poem.
