Amethyst Zest

I find myself wishing for a portal entering a far off fairy tale land; To begin a wild adventure unplanned, I follow a Sun not gold but purple; High in the sky an amethyst circle shines a fetching glow on emerald sand; Limits on possibility are banned, eyes open I’m no longer immortal; I rub the fantasy out of my eyes and smile at how life is such a gamble; Reality is it’s own brand of quest; Deadly lingers in Earthly paradise, toxic can lurk in a fertile ramble; Fortune favors logic flavored with zest.

Dear Melani, your poem is a captivating journey into the realms of imagination and reality. The imagery of a far-off fairy tale land, guided by a sun of amethyst hue, evokes a sense of wonder and adventure. Yet, your reflection on the limitations of possibility and the unpredictability of life grounds the reader in the complexities of reality. I loved the juxtaposition of fantasy and pragmatism, which offers a thought-provoking exploration of the human experience. Brilliantly crafted! - Blessings, Daniel
