Stubborn
Not budging
Washington impasse
The government shutdown drags on
While the furloughed and unpaid federal workers suffer
When will the captains of complacency in Washington finally end this madness?

Unfortunately I am starting to think revolution is the only that will change this country. We need massive change in the legislature.

This is a very rough time and will be for a while. Maybe Pelosi can give up her pay like Trump does? Just a thought. But, I also think of Americans who suffered before this shutdown and now, just like those federal workers, who went broke over health costs and lost everything. It is terrible. America must unite :)

I couldn't agree more, Heidi!:-) This prolonged government shutdown is inhumane, period. It hurts the GOP, Dems, federal workers, the economy, America's reputation all around the world. GOP and Dems need to put their egos aside and bring an end to this very harmful shutdown. Enough is enough!

I stand right beside you in my angst for the workers who are not getting paid. I try not to let current events get to me, but when a Pensacola mother goes on TV to say her Coast Guard member husband is working without pay and she doesn't know how to explain it to her children -- well that raises my ire. Bravo for highlighting the situation so well, Edward!

It's really an outrage, Carolyn:-( A great number of these federal workers have families to feed. Both sides should come up with some sort of compromise already! This does no good for anybody, for any party! Sad...
