American Wonder

It was you my heart chose Lips red like a rose Reddish hair And pointed nose I searched for hope I could not find I tried my luck But left it far behind I went to school but I came out stupid When I found you I was shot by a guy named cupid My heart was broken From the words that have been spoken I do not have a heart So I scream in pain Afflicted in the sun and the rain Until you came My American wonder With a smile That shines bright like the sun All those afflictions Were gone By the time you are done I saw reasons to live again And a new perspective To life Sarah or whatever your name is called Will you be my wife? Beautiful damsel from Colorado That I never met But I can never forget Across the wires Over the Atlantic Beautiful angel She was so romantic And so fantastic And a mind that was elastic Like rubber or plastic Gave me a new heart So I surrendered the one filled with hate You will be remembered till date You may not be perfect But you are great So where ever the unpredictable waves Of destiny Takes me Remember never to wake me And when I come for you my love Please take me As I am And I will take you as you are Because we are meant for each other Whether in this world Or next Words need not qualify a man Except from his actions The first look at your face set off a chain reaction You bewitched me And I have fallen in a spell I do not wish to wake Until you ring that bell My mind And your mind works together No being can separate us Not even a stormy weather Let them try They will fail I will seek you in that rain of hail You can never be beyond my reach Because you will always practice what I preach For love is the beginning of wisdom And this is what many will never teach I have no coin to give you I am but a pauper In items of value But I am smart And strong And I love to argue
