American Veteran
In peacetime, in wars, you stood tall,
you matter to God, to us, you gave all.
American veteran, come home from PTSD,
dreams of the courageous gifted to the free.
We want you to know we care,
You were the willing who went "over there."
Your wounds of your bodies, your souls,
hurt our hearts, to you we owe.
Rest In the Americana of what you
fought for mightily,
it's not a platitude when you're thanked
in sincerity.
American veteran, come home from
uncertainty,
dreams of the courageous gifted to the free.
