American Kids

Don’t worry about kids reading the words sh*t, p*ssy or f*ck
They’ll never be reading my muck
They wouldn’t bother with such trifles
Too busy cleaning their assault rifles
And watching violent p*rn
In the land where freedom was born.

Yes I agree with much of what you say. US is a mixture of cultures and appetites as well as morals or lack of! We are a bag of mixed nuts! lol

Thanks for reading my poem, Karen. As an outsider, I think it's interesting that the USA seems to be a country where there can be outrage about the use of profanity, but at the same time a country where people seem to make a lot of money from the production of pornography and weapons. I guess ones about appearing to be righteous while the other's about making money (and we all know money Trumps a lot of things these days). All the best, Paul.
