America, My Home

America, my home, where I have been blessed
For almost eighty years, she has given me her best.
I have had privileges unknown in faraway lands,
Enjoyed her vistas from mountains to the sands.
She has rewarded me with freedom and liberty,
Helped me to become the best that I could be.
These are random thoughts that came to me today
On the eve of Independence Day in the U. S. of A.

Thanks so much, BJ. In these days when so many people are pessimistic about the future, I still believe very strongly in America and her people!

Thank you, Ilene. Yes, America has been so good to me. I don't have much feeling for those who tear her down!
