Amber Alert
Amber alert, amber alert!
What a marvelous system
the amber alert.
We drive, we drive
and see the problems,
"road conditions uneven ahead",
not a word, not a word of civilians
dead from our bombs.
"Off ramp closed, use Franklin St. detour",
but not so much a mention of the
loss of our rights.
"Child abduction, Blue Toyota",
and nothing but nothing is said of
dead Iraqi children.
"Accident, fast lane closed",
and of our spiritual terrorization and
lost brothers and sisters
nothing.
Oh, I am sure that all will move
smoothly, much more smoothly
with our marvelous new system.
