Amazing Grace

I cried I am
Whatever’s the heart of you
who knows? I spy
ego lurking inside

Come in, come on
That rumbling what is it?
I heard it once
Really heard it’s a sin

Just walk on by
Recall full-well that every word
of fire you scrawled
I blew like so much chalk

Find out! Santé!
But don’t touché down the hatch
and wonder what
took us wrong way about

The emperor
Is severed to banishment
to bid his end
bye while dribbling red shrimp

You’ll know him by
His deeds will be tucked in a
Hawaiian shirt
better late than hello
