Amazing Art of Ansel Adams

Shadows of light and darkness Contrasting images of El Capitan Half Dome sliced by an ice age glacier I met him that day in Yosemite Touched by the unique qualities of his photos Fine prints are displayed at his gallery I marveled at his skill Black and white contrasts Create spiritual moments and introspection I brought him home with me His work now hangs in my office Ever inspiring, ever grand

All things start out black and white, So you eventually will get them right. Have saved place for each one in my heart, Even tough we are miles apart. At another picture of his will look and think of the time it took, To have explained in picture form a bright day about to have a big storm. James Thomas Horn

Dear David, I wish I could visit Yosemite again. The Ansel Adams museum there was filled with wonderful black-and-white photographs. Thanks for letting me know you've scaled the peaks and valleys in Yosemite, my favorite national park.

This is lyrical beauty, Carolyn! I have to admit that I had to search Ansel Adams and discovered what a capable artist he was. Black & White photos will continue to impress. I hope this is for Giorgio's contest; it would make a very worthy entry! Hugs // paul
