Am I the Anomaly

I say “Crayola” Five-year-old behind me says “crayon” as if he is correcting me. I stare at him. The old one-two-three teacher stare. He does not notice. What makes today's s child think he is on the same level as his teacher? Am I the anomaly here? Is it because I am old school? Is it my age? All I know is, many children of today Feel they have the right to correct adults. And they feel they are not only on our level, But have surpassed our level.
