Am I

AM I ?

Am I Just Standing Here, or Am I Just Dead?
Am I So Full Of Fear, I Lost Myself Instead?

Am I A Nobody, that you can't defend me?
OR
Am I Just Invisible, and you really don't pretend.

Am I Blind, Or I Just Don't Wish To See?
The Love I Cannot Find Is Right In Front Of Me!

Am I Hearing the Truth,
Or Have I Just Been Deceived?
Who Can I Trust?
Who Can I Believe?

Am I So Mad I Just Can't Understand,
Or Am I So Sad I Need A Shoulder And A friend?

Is It Just Me,
Or Am I All Alone?

Such an excellent poem. I wish I had read this a few years ago - when I felt all alone.

It's strange, that you felt that way, I did also, but I think a lot of women feel the same way. Self esteem might be one or how we're raised.Love the write, blessings and hugs Eve

Hi, With so many conflicting emotions you nevertheless could, at such a vulnerable time, express them all in this awesome poem. I hoped it had a cathartic effect to help you cope. As I too remember a time when writing poetry kept me sane. Big hug and congrats to you. All the best Theresa xx

Very expressive emotional write. So sad that people can feel so alone and yet others are going through similar things also feeling very alone. Well done, especially considering 22 years ago.

I was looking back through some of your older poems. This one is so full of true emotion. My favorite two lines are " Am I Blind, Or I Just Don't Wish To See? The Love I Cannot Find Is Right In Front Of Me! " You have such a God given talent for creating very good poetry. This is one of my favorite poems Linda...Hugs...Roger

The poem may be 22 yrs old but in that time i see a poetess who has gained strenghth, fortitude and a passion for life and you pen your emotions with such a clarity the reader gets to u.derstand the person you have come to be. On another note, you better get those creative juices flowing cause im anxious to see something new love Carl
