Alzheimer's Domino Effect Chapter 7
I’m ridiculous really…but, my future is set not on strife…
Drawing in my depiction
Of you and me together…
I’m your bat and I collected your dove feather…
We have Alzheimer’s
It occurs to me that you live to be free
Together,
Forever
We are one
Two battles won
Team work does pay hard
I’m still this brainless bard…
I may be disabled,
But I am able
To help others’ in need
With no hint of greed
So, if you need me, call me…
At 333-999-6666…
I will repeat it just in case you forget
333-999-6666…
I won’t forget you
I forgive you, baby, so true
I love you from the beginning to the end
You are mine and will always be…
Perhaps, one day, our paths will meet…
Lend me a hand into Your PromiseLand, baby…
For, you are unforgotten,
In my memory,
You are unforgotten…
For I was born in the month of May
And you, the month of December
Today is your time to shine in the sky that’s so grey
You are a December to remember
I’m a clueless caterpillar in my mind’s eye
Alzheimer’s, assuredly, is a killer I can’t lie
(this poem series is dedicated to individuals who worry, have alzheimer's, or forget too much...hope you have a good day!)
