Always There
Finding one who I knew from before
Never really seeing the real person
Knowing they were always there
Ready to step up and in when needed
Looking back seeing for the first time
What they really meant to me
Feeling what I buried deep inside
Seeing those feelings returned unconditionally
Knowing what I know now wishing I did then
Lost time to make up for, Wrongs to set right
Something so strong, feels so right.
Better now than ever before, So much to do
Looking back knowing I had to go through
All I had before this moment in time
To get to this point in my life, To see it
We can only move forward and take it
Day by day, living in the moment, Breathing
Waiting to see where it will lead
Hoping for forever and a day.
