Always There

From within the belly of darkness
Comes a light that always shines
We may not always recognize it
Because it's not buried in our minds
It's burrowed way down deep
In the essence of our soul
I think its intuition
Or an angel that's all alone
It speaks to us when we're lonely
Or when we've had a bad day
It pushes us to make choices
That will keep the ugly at bay
The darkness may always be there
Like the light it always stays
If we want the light to grow brighter
We should hold it in our minds
Warm embrace
