Always My Angel

Always My Angel Sort of like the way you never said goodbye Walking across the burning bridges I'm a voice without a word Falling across false realities Nobody told me how difficult life would be And there is always another obstacle It doesn't help that I play with fire Running my lips across your skin While you smoke pot Dying in a grave of your own creation Guys walk your bridges Taking advantage of open tunnels I was never the only one here Sometimes it's better to let it hurt Because it could always be so much worse Summer would never come for you When it never came for me Your eyes attract the flies Stickiness makes your hair clump together I stroke your cheek so tenderly The blood isn't mine But it isn't yours either It's the blood of innocence And that's what I gave to you all my life Melting in waterfalls of fire You've been taken by the demons But you were always my angel
