Always In My Heart

Always in my Heart

I wake this morning, his bed is bare
His smell is here but he’s not there.
The rooms the same because it’s his
But the sparkles gone and so is the fizz.
I feel his clothes they mean so much
So nice to smell, so nice to touch.
His body’s gone, He’s in my heart
He’ll never leave, we’ll never part.
As days go by I feel the pain
Some days I feel I’ll go insane
In my thoughts every day
And that’s the way it will ever stay
Time goes by - year by year
Sometimes a whisper in my ear?
He made the world a better place
Now in heaven, he’s left the race
We must go on the way things are
He would expect we raise the bar.
In my heart he now lives
Much love and warmth he still gives
In my heart, till we meet again
In a far off place on another plain

A beautiful tribute. Clothes can provide so much comfort, as you say 'nice to smell and nice to touch. Thanks for sharing this one, sad but very beautiful.
