Always, Always, and Always

ALWAYS, ALWAYS AND ALWAYS

it was your choice unfortunately
to avoid seeing me
I’ve had to let you stay away
It was abrupt
I had to walk away from you
immediately
you laid hands on me
never again
I’ll not forget
the anger in your eyes
that insane moment
your intense rage
unacceptable

I’ll not forget the one standing
near doing nothing
he watched as I said three times
“Take your hands off of me”
three times
Unacceptable

she pulled you away
she, not him
I’ll not forget

you are toxic
too controlling
too narcissistic
too proud to apologize

I remember I love you still
forgive you if you ask
time passes
and passes

If I pass
remember
I always loved you
always
always
and
always

Oh my dear heart, if love was enough, then everyone would stay, but when there is abuse even love has no hold for that. One should never suffer abuse at the hands of another, not even for the sake of love. I have had my share of bystanders in my days, and I still wear the scars. Love and prayers of healing being sent to you today, xo

barbara, The good and the bad that hands can bring. Very interesting subject, wherever and whenever the heart is concerned. Is always as long as forever? It seems so. Well written with feeling that floats from the page. -Richard
