Always A Patriarchy, Part II
...All of those jobs that must get done,
if they don’t the whole system fails,
they’ve tried to get women in them,
but did so to little avail.
The truth is our hard-wiring
still dictates what we can do best,
men are built for the brutal work,
our long history will attest.
If you want civilization
to function, the build, and to thrive,
it must become patriarchal,
for nothing else ever survives.
There are those who will deny this,
say they’ve though up ‘another way,’
forgetting that human nature
is not something that you can change.
Usually in the richest states,
where success and wealth shields women
from the struggles and from the truth,
since it has not yet come from them.
They think that they can end conflict,
resolve with cooperation,
often cheerlead the feminine,
and always hate their own nation.
They push out ideologies
that they somehow think are brand new,
all of them quite degenerate,
and never much take the long view.
Don’t see that Greece, Rome, and China,
among countless other nations,
all found themselves in this same place,
and all faced disintegration.
They all tried the softer ideals
and it all ended the same way,
more patriarchal men showed up,
those that came before were erased.
Whether it came from their own kind,
or some aggressive, foreign foe,
if you’re not a patriarchy
it won’t be long before you go.
So given this, the question is
what patriarchy do you want?
The kind that still upholds your rights,
or the ones that would see them gone?
The Islamic patriarchies
treat women like cattle to own,
say their words are half of a man’s,
take multiple wives in a home,
beat them if they’re found troublesome,
cover their whole face with fabric,
turn them to something subhuman,
good lord that religion is sick…
In Mexico patriarchies
have come in the form of cartels,
they traffic girls as concubines,
to any with cash they will sell.
In Russia and Eastern Europe
they’re known to speak cruel to their girls,
not as bad as the Muslins but
some blows to the head are unfurled.
African patriarchies show
truly alarming rates of rape,
would any woman (not insane)
chose places like this to escape?
For all of the west’s shortcomings,
I think it’s abundantly clear,
of all the world’s patriarchies
they’ll find no better ones than here.
They can make their own decisions,
their own space to fail or to strive,
all because of our patriarchy,
the only reason we survive.
