Always A Patriarchy, Part I

It’s become a common refrain,
“The patriarchy keeps us down!”
Shouted by every feminist,
their hair pink, voices shrill and loud.
To them, a grand nebulous foe
they blame for setbacks in their lives,
“We would have peace if women ruled!”
You hear that refrain all the time…
Yet seeing all the backstabbing
that women do when they’re in groups,
I think it’s become evident
that such statements hold little truth.
And looking deep at what we are,
the design of humanity,
one fact emerges every time:
It must be a patriarchy.

The bluntest reason why is force,
nen have the lion’s share of it,
guns have reduced that fact somewhat,
but if everything went to sh-t
the stronger, more aggressive men
would very quickly dominate,
and this brutal reality
invites one to them contemplate
that all our talk of human rights
seem to dodge around one cold thing:
Only men can enforce those rights,
because greater force they can bring.
Violence is the last resort
when other options are burned through,
but when it all gets to that point
what exactly could women do?
They’ve not the strength to fight a man,
very few are soldiers in war,
and when things have gotten that bad
the mind games don’t work anymore.
At any point in history
has brute force been used by females
successfully to win a war
against a tyrant-minded male?
Even in our more equal states
where we seek out justice for all,
if men decided otherwise
then women’s rights would simply fall.
That patriarchy always stay
comes from one cruel understanding:
Men always hold the most power
because they’re better at killing.
And since force is the one real thing
that can defend all of our lives,
it all becomes patriarchies
since nothing else ever survives.

And beyond force some fact remain
blurred now by our technology,
women have children, and when young
they all need their mothers to feed.
A woman pregnant, or with kids,
is not gonna go push a plow,
there’s a reason hat men did that,
it’s what human design allowed.
What would’ve happened to those kids
if women had gone of the war?
The young ones would’ve starved to death,
and there’ d be no one to make more.
Even now, in our modern age,
with machines doing heavy work,
the sex division still exists
with men working most jobs that hurt.
Soldiers, cops, linemen, construction,
miners, oilmen, lumberjacks,
all still male despite all this ‘change,’
no protest will ever shift that...
