Always a Part of You
Whether you like it or not, I am a part of you
Admit it or not, I will always be a part of you.
Soon, time will pass and maybe this won't last
We will continue to live our lives the way the universe conspired it to become
But one thing is incontestable, you will always find me everywhere.
You will always crave for me- for how we used to be
You'll find me in those familiar places, you'll find me in every dark corner
You'll find me in the obscure dusk of the shuttered room, waiting to be illuminated
Take a sip of your favorite espresso or munch over a slice of hawaiian pizza- I'm there.
You'll find me in every ambiguous question that lurks on your mind- like 'how' and 'why'
Scan the pages of the dusty Nicholas Sparks books hidden in the unlit attic and I'm there
Close your eyes and you will ascertain all those sweet nothings I've whispered before
You will find me along with the warm summer air, gently toying with your jet black hair
Stare at the bright moonlit skies and you'll notice me sparkling,
Making all your dreams come true.
When it rains, you'll see me amidst the puddles mixing with the underground's secrets
As soon as you go home, put on your favorite crisp white shirt
And you'll notice me teasingly frolicking with the soft hem
Time may pass, seasons will change, people will come and go; yes, it's true
Nevertheless, you will always bethink of me- you will always find me
Because whether you like it or not, I am and will always be a part of you.
