Always

If tomorrow never comes
 The sun fails to rise
 In your state of darkness
 I'll hold up your lantern high 
 In my arena you'll shine

If tomorrow never comes
 Shadows of the night swallow you whole
 Silence of the tomb calls out your name
 Depriving you an extra mile 
 You'll still live on in my mind

Even if tomorrow opt not to come
 I will forever hold you high
 Within my chest of all treasures
 Laced on my tongue like a true gospel
 A beautiful song escaping my lips

I will not let time wipe you off
 Nor your thoughts be layered with dust
 I'll keep your face polished
 Preserving your smile from being tarnished
 You will never be forgotten

If tomorrow never comes
 Know this day you've been truly loved
 Beyond time in between
 Post the worlds that sets us apart
 You'll always be with me

In brief, am passionate about poetry, writing it comes natural to me...I have been published in four anthologies ( Letter from Africa - from Uganda/ Cupid - From Zimbabwe/ Out of the Strom - from US and recently Poets against terror - from Italy). My own book Love Notes was published here at home (South Africa) in 2015. I am found in most poetry facebook pages.
