Always

The promise of always
lies arrogant before the heavens;
the magnitude of the cosmos,
the multitude of stars rising, falling -
a constancy, as if I'd ne'er existed.
And every desire, save this one,
every relationship, save this one,
leads hearts to grow accustomed
to the furthest of places,
save this one - always

I am absolutely in love with this poems for obvious reasons. Excellent poem; I like the last three lines the best. 8) Always, Laura

Somehow I knew the title would draw you to it. I use that term regularly, but never with a period after. Always - Chuck
