A-Lop-Bop-A-Loo-Bop

If this title tells you nothing
Then I guess I can assume
That you’ve never heard those lyrics
Followed by “A-lop-bam-boom.”

Little Richard’s the composer;
“Tutti Fruitti” is the song,
One of many, like “Good Golly…”
We’ve been singing all along.

To describe him as flamboyant
Barely covers what he was
But if you’ve seen him perform, you know
He justified the buzz.

Now he’s dead at 87,
One more rock star bites the dust.
More than words, a fitting tribute
Is to watch him sing – you must!

Oh, man, you are saying phrases I love almost as much as music itself!

Sorry, dear lady, we are at opposite poles on this guy. Never could stand to hear him "sing" if that's what it was. To each his own. / M

Racket music never appealed to me, but my late wife adored Little Richard, and fortunately had friends who would go with her to his shows. The fact that he "retired" to become a preacher clearly establishes how far humans can stretch! Aloha! Rico

Him and Jerry Stiller, two personalities who one might say, were a tad beyond the norm. :) <3 Nice tribute ilene. <3 :)
