Along the Way
I've learned some things along the way,
Like work hard and earn an honest pay.
Treat everyone with respect and care,
A friend's feelings should always be spared.
Take some time to smell the lovely flowers,
Celebrate the coming of Spring showers.
Observe the birds, the bees and butterflies,
You'll find endless beauty within the skies.
Take nice long walks with a kindred someone,
Travelling is more fun when we are not alone.
The miles we share are worth our time,
Good moments we share stays in our minds.
The love we feel and give so freely -
Is never lost or forgotten easily.
And time has a way of healing pain,
Our mistakes should never be in vain.
We must learn to change so we may grow,
Take responsibility for the seeds we sow.
Then, enjoy this day and all the rest,
And strive each day to do our best.
