ALONE IN A CROWD-Oxymoron Poetry Contest

ALONE IN A CROWD ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
she’s alone in the bustling crowd~ around her, river of faces, a current of hurried footsteps, briefcases bumping, hushed goodbyes archipelago of motion no one notices her quietness~ train arrives, and she steps forward departure’s anonymity

So succinct and powerful. To feel alone in a crowd is so disturbing. We feel this sometimes in life and a feeling of being a square peg in a round hole comes to plague us.

Hints of urban loneliness...what else is she leaving behind...“departure’s anonymity” is haunting. This, again, is a nice one, Sara. Good luck with the contest!!
