Alone But Not Lonely

How did I ever even get here,
to this lonely place,
alone in this palace,
this place of solitude,
so quiet I can feel
the warmth of Nok the cat
sitting calmly,
from a distance at the corner
of the room window pane
with eyes closed as if he's
waiting for someone
special to join us,
oblivious of the world outside.
Looking out from where I seated,
I could see the trees dancing
to the music played by the wind.
I can also see a lonely bird
sitting all alone like me,
and I can't help but to think,
if this lonely bird is also waiting
for the lover to come.
Suddenly I felt a warm
embrace of her hand around me,
so comforting and reassuring,
and within me I also know that
it's going to be okay with that
lone bird out there as I heard
the song of another bird
calling out to the one on the tree.
Nok the cat was also picked up,
for i could hear her purring with joy.
It's not so bad after all at being alone
but not lonely for a while.
