Alone Again

It used to be it didn’t bother me To let you go out at night And I always led you to believe It’s good to spend time alone. But not tonight. Tonight I let you Know I didn’t want you to leave, But you went anyway. That makes The loneliness even worse. Lying To you is so much easier, just like Lying to myself. But you need to go And see your dealer while I sit Here alone, as I’ve always done. Originally put on paper for a writing class 1990.
