Alone

ALONE We are all so busy working, nobody’s talking Each in a world of his own loneliness A hundred people surround you but it’s as if you are the only one there Everybody stares, but they are only seeing the reflection of their own world! Seeing shadows behind the windows of their mind. Yes we are all alone In a world of thousands of people Each person unique in their own self Some people hiding within themselves Others hiding behind the people that surround them How many people actually know themselves? How many people are happy with who they are? How many people are an individual standing tall and confident? Yes I am alone, but I don’t stand alone I stand tall and confident with an inner strength that only Jesus gives I’m alone in my uniqueness I’m alone in my different ness I am cloaked in Jesus I have sanctuary in Jesus love I have a firm foundation in His love for me. Are you alone today amongst a thousand people? Do you see people running too and fro and wonder where they are going? Are you wondering how to get through that aloneness’? Ask Jesus today to walk with you, ask Him to live in your heart and you will never be alone again. “You know me inside and out, you know every bone in my body; You know exactly how I was made, bit by bit, how I was sculpted from nothing into something. Like an open book, you watched me grow from conception to birth; all the stages of my life were spread out before you, The days of my life all prepared before I’d even lived one day.” Psalm 139: 14-16

Teenage love is such a battle, and many wars and intense hormones kicked in make it the worst of possible sometimes.

Your imagery in this poem is fascinating, insightful, and gripping, Thabang.

I had to jump out of my seat and kiss my coffee on the rim for this poem's success. It's so a winner in my head, and the coffee cup rim will never be safe again.

This poem has helped me visualize and write three new lion-ess type poems since I read it yesterday. Hooray for you, Thabang. Three cheers!
