Alone

I stand at the abyss alone. My fear drips into the eternal darkness. Every step on my life's path brought me here. I shoved all obstacles out of my way as I blindly ran down the road of success. Love, family, friends they could wait until I was done doing what I do. Now I'm done. I stare into the emptiness and grieve. My success is my undoing.
