Alone
Passed the window
of a well lit house
silhouette of children
playing inside
back of dad at a piano
music laughter
aroma of spices.
Pulling a heart
lingering on
to a smile that
vanished
without good bye
swallowing a knot
of tears un cried
raced the night
to a keyhole
crossing a threshold
into darkness.
Turning blue light
on single bed white
pulled the sheet
to tearing eyes
not even an echo
to answer
my whisper
repeating twice
good night, good night
to a once existing smile.
