Alone

a feast of memories
behind my eyes
memories rich
memories hard

empty rooms
cold winter chill
the lights may
fade away

when times were
spent with love
and warmth
are but faded
images in my
heart

alone, as always
I knew
alone
so perfectly alone

so magnificently
perfectly
desperately
alone.
