Alone

As I walked I thought on her face,
The colour of her hair, tone of her voice,
I wondered where she was now but no;
That is the path to despair and anguish,
The world has moved on, I am alone.

As I sat in the café I thought on her face,
The colour of her eyes, shape of her mouth,
I wondered where she was now but no;
Pain and heart ache lie there,
I do not pursue the thought, I am alone.

As I lay in my bed I thought on her face,
The colour of her lips, glow of her cheek,
I wondered where she was now but no;
There my dreams will drown in tears,
Darkness shrouds me, I am alone.

This one really conveys loneliness so well. I like the repeating lines I am alone. Very nicely done!

I love listening to music and find some songs so inspirational my Scintillating Snowflakes was written at a lives blues event - I needed something to take my mind from the depressing songs lol:-) Hugs Jan xx
