Alone

all I want is a friend
someone to hold out a hand
someone to listen when I speak
this is all I really need

but I walk alone
with no help
with no voice but mine
this is how I spend my life

they all tell me how to live
how to dress
how to hold my head
this is how I should be

but no one shows me how to live
no one gives me clothes to wear
no ones even around to see my face
this is why I can't be who they want me to be

so I still trace the streets
just me

alone

( this is a character poem about a man named Ben who has severe mental heath
