Alone
Time spent alone only matters...
when..
the lights are off
the blanket is soft
and the fire is warmer than normal
the pillow is wet
your thoughts are at large
and the tissue box is almost empty
Alone only matters...
when...
comfort means foods like
mashed potatoes--ice cream
chocolate--and more chocolate
Alone only matters when...
noise is not an issue
because
the music is faint
and the most pressing thing is which song comes next
sweat pants come in the perfect size
ponytails are the most fashionable accessory
makeup isn't--up--anymore
The heartache is gone and when you're done...
You feel like spending time with someone else.
