Alone
Water set for tea and oatmeal still boiling in the fire place.
Music still humming soft tunes in the seating room.
But there lies the lonely loner backward on the floor.
Lying down and staring upwards view hindered by the ceiling.
Then the door belll rings accompanied by several knocks.
Too weak to answer the door, too drained to call out.
Breaking in and there lies the loner on the marble floor.
Living alone and all its accompanying dangers.
